The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires you to provide your full name, date of birth, and gender for the purpose of watch list screening, under the authority of 49 U.S.C. section 114, the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 and 49 C.F.R parts 1540 and 1560.  You may also provide your Redress Number, if available. Failure to provide your full name, date of birth, and gender may result in denial of transport or denial of authority to enter the boarding area.  TSA may share information you provide with law enforcement or intelligence agencies or others under its published system of records notice.  For more on TSA privacy policies, or to review the system of records notice and the privacy impact assessment, please see the TSA Web site at www.tsa.gov.

Persons requesting travel on Kalitta Air, LLC. aircraft, except persons exempted per Appendix C to the General Operations Manual, are required to submit a Travel Request Form.

Policies and Procedures
  1. The Travel Request Form must be submitted 24 hours in advance of scheduled departure unless other arrangements are made.
    • To board Kalitta Air aircraft, persons are responsible for having in their possession the following documentation:
      • Other airline crewmembers:
        • Company ID (with photo);
        • Medical Certificate;
        • Airman Certificate; and
        • Passport.
      • Other airline Dispatchers:
        • Company ID (with photo);
        • Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate; and
        • Passport.
      • Others (non-crewmember / non-dispatch):
        • Company ID (with photo);
        • Government-issued ID (with photo); and
        • Government-issued ID (with photo); and
      • A valid passport, with appropriate visas, is required to travel outside the U.S.
      • Kalitta Air is NOT responsible to provide any required entry/exit documentation.
  2. Per FAR 121.580, No person may assault, threaten, intimidate, or interfere with a crewmember in the performance of the crewmember's duties aboard an aircraft being operated.
  3. Supernumeraries must meet the requirements in Appendix C to the General Operations Manual.
  4. Authorization to travel does NOT guarantee travel. Jumpseats are assigned where space is available. Supernumeraries may be “bumped” up to the time of actual departure to accommodate Kalitta Air travel requirements.
  5. Supernumeraries are expected to dress “business casual” (collared shirts, no jeans, ties optional).
  6. All non-company personnel are subject to personal screening and open luggage inspection. Screening will be conducted utilizing a handheld metal detector. If a metal detector is unavailable, screeners will accomplish a pat-down search. Kalitta Air cannot guarantee gender-specific pat-down searches. Supernumeraries refusing to comply with screening requirements will be denied boarding.
  7. Supernumeraries are expected to arrive and complete the boarding process in a timely manner. We recommend arriving no less than one (1) hour prior to departure. Supernumeraries arriving late should expect to be denied boarding.
  8. Supernumeraries are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and comply with all crewmember instructions and guidance.

Regardless of any prior authorization, the Pilot-In-Command (PIC) has the ultimate authority to determine who is allowed to board the aircraft.
